In a large pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and saute for about 30 seconds.
Add the fresh mushrooms, salt, and pepper and toss to combine. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for about 7-8 minutes or until the mushrooms are softened and browned.
Sprinkle with fresh thyme and serve!
Notes
This recipe is buttery and full of thyme and garlic flavor. These would make a great Thanksgiving side dish, a side dish/topping for steak, or side dish for chicken or pork.
Leftovers keep in the fridge for up to 3 days.
You can use any type of smaller mushroom for this recipe, I used white mushrooms.
Don’t forget to wash/rinse your mushrooms before cooking!
