This easy Sausage and Peppers with Cabbage recipe is packed with smoky flavor and comes together easily in one skillet! Great as an appetizer, side dish, or main entree.
14ouncessausage such as Andouille SausageSmoked sausage or Chorizo
2cupscabbagecut into bite-sized pieces
2cupsbell peppercut into bite-sized pieces
1/2cuponion cut into bite-size pieces
1teaspooneach paprika and garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or griddle to medium heat.
Add the sliced sausage to the skillet and brown on each side. This will take approximately 6 minutes. When the sausage has browned, remove from the skillet and set aside.
Add the chopped cabbage, peppers, and onion to the skillet. Sprinkle with the paprika and garlic powder, and saute, stirring occasionally, for 7-10 minutes until the vegetables have softened to your liking.
Add the sausage to the skillet and toss to combine. Add salt and pepper to taste.
