This five-ingredient Strawberry Mousse is simple to prepare and can be whipped up in a matter of minutes!

One of the biggest reasons people struggle to follow through with a low-carb lifestyle is how difficult it can be to satisfy the sweet tooth! We all know when the craving strikes a little after dinner or that mid-day slump, we need a little something to keep us going!
This mousse is light, fluffy, and just sweet enough! If strawberries aren’t available, you can try lemon mousse (my personal favorite) or pumpkin mousse!

How to Make
This is honestly so easy I think it barely qualifies as a recipe; you just need to follow a few steps, and you’ve got creamy, fluffy, sweet mousse!

- Add the strawberries to a high-speed blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form (about 2-3 minutes). Set aside.
- Whip the cream cheese in a separate mixing bowl until light and fluffy. Add the powdered monk fruit sweetener, pureed strawberries, and vanilla extract and whip until combined. This will take 2-3 minutes.
- Fold in the whipped heavy cream until smooth. Transfer the strawberry mousse to individual containers, cover, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

Storage
This recipe is best kept in an airtight recipe in the fridge up to 3 days. For ease, you can store it in a ziplock bag and pipe it directly into cups when ready to serve. Since this recipe features heavy whipping cream and cream cheese is does not freeze well, this is a treat best made fresh.
Tips and Tricks
- This makes 4 smaller servings or 2 generous servings!
- You can easily double or triple this recipe to make more servings for a crowd!
- I like to transfer the mousse to a ziplock bag, cut the tip off, and then pipe it into containers. I found it looked nicer than just spooning it in.
- This shortcut mousse recipe has a nice fluffy texture without being too dense or falling. It also makes a yummy fruit dip!
- Powdered monk fruit sugar is essential in this recipe. I tried using regular granulated monk fruit, but the texture was gritty.
- You can also use regular powdered sugar if you don’t need it to be keto or low-carb.
- Use full-fat cream cheese for the best results.
- Frozen strawberries will work for this recipe but must be thawed and drained before pureeing them.

Recipe FAQ
I haven’t tried this with other berries, but I suspect it would work well with blueberries.
I have not made this with dairy-free substitutions.
You can also use a handheld electric mixer instead of a standmixer.
You can use any sweetener you prefer as long as it is powdered. Granular sweetener will not work as well; it does not provide a smooth texture.
